By using ExamVault at certexpert.org, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before taking any exam.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ExamVault ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ExamVault. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and truthful.
3. Exam Conduct
By starting an exam, you agree to:
- Take the exam independently without assistance from any other person
- Not use unauthorized materials, notes, or devices during the exam
- Not share exam questions or answers with others
- Allow camera and microphone access for proctoring purposes
- Accept that violations will result in exam cancellation
4. Proctoring & Recording
ExamVault uses automated proctoring technology including:
- Camera monitoring to detect face position and gaze direction
- Audio monitoring to detect suspicious sounds
- Screen activity monitoring (fullscreen enforcement, tab switching detection)
- Video recording of violation events
By starting an exam, you explicitly consent to this monitoring and recording.
5. Certificates
Certificates are issued only to students who score 60% or above. Certificates are verifiable at certexpert.org/verify.html. ExamVault reserves the right to revoke certificates obtained through dishonest means.
6. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your account with others. Each exam attempt is tied to your account.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Attempting to bypass proctoring systems
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent attempt limits
- Sharing exam content publicly
- Using automated tools or scripts during exams
8. Limitation of Liability
ExamVault is provided "as is." We are not liable for technical failures, data loss, or exam interruptions caused by internet connectivity or device issues beyond our control.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.
1. Data We Collect
Account Data:
- Name and email address (from registration or Google sign-in)
- Profile photo (if using Google sign-in)
Exam Data:
- Exam scores, answers, and time taken
- Violation records (type and reason)
- Video recordings of proctoring violations (stored securely on our server)
Technical Data:
- IP address (for rate limiting and security)
- Browser type and device information
2. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and manage your account
- To administer exams and generate results and certificates
- To detect and prevent cheating via proctoring
- To send exam result emails to your registered address
- To display leaderboard rankings (name and score only)
3. Camera & Microphone Data
Camera and microphone are accessed only during active exam sessions. Video is processed locally in your browser for gaze detection. Video recordings are only saved when a proctoring violation is detected. These recordings are accessible only to platform administrators.
4. Data Storage
- Account and exam data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Realtime Database)
- Violation recordings are stored on our secure server hosted in the EU
- All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except:
- Google Firebase — for authentication and database services
- Google OAuth — if you choose to sign in with Google
6. Data Retention
- Exam results are retained indefinitely for certificate verification
- Violation recordings are retained for 90 days then deleted
- Account data is retained until you request deletion
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of email communications

8. Cookies
We use Firebase Authentication which stores a session token in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
ExamVault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
